The Maytag Project, published in the Galesburg Register-Mail as the six-day series "Maytag Employees in Transition," was produced by Knox College students and faculty. Now it has won an award in a statewide competition for professional news outlets.
Krista Anne Nordgren, a creative writing major with a minor in dance, shows a flare for entrepreneurship by opening an online company with her sisters that showcases artists' work. 
Bruce Haywood Davis, professor of French, has been named to the Burkhardt Distinguished Chair in Modern Languages at Knox College. 
Penny Schine Gold, professor of history, has been named to the Burkhardt Distinguished Chair in History at Knox College.
