Students attending high schools in the city of Chicago and graduating in the top 20 percent of their class are eligible for a scholarship of up to $10,000 per year, provided they have not received another Knox academic scholarship. Chicago Scholarships recognize the special relationship between Knox and the City of Big Shoulders. Founded the same year as Knox (1837), Chicago is home to more of our alumni than any other city.
To be considered, simply apply for admission by February 1. A separate application is not required.
For more information, contact the Office of Admission.
Notification
Candidates are notified of their scholarship awards at the time of admission.
General Scholarship Guidelines
Scholarship candidates must be admitted to Knox and be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Scholarship recipients often qualify for additional need-based financial assistance, including grants, work-study programs and loans. Scholarships are renewable annually as long as recipients remain in good academic standing.
