Auditions

All students are welcome to audition for the Knox College Choir, the Knox College Chamber Singers, and the Knox College Players! Our members come from all walks of life and every corner of the campus. A good ensemble is made up of scholars of all stripes. If you’re wondering if you’d fit with the KCC, you’re the person we’re looking for.

Auditioning for the Knox College Choir and Chamber Singers

To audition for the Choir or the Chamber Singers, sign up at this link. If you’d like to be considered for the Chamber Singers, put an X in the column next to your name. If there are no times available that work for you, just email our Director, Dr. Bram Wayman.

This fall, auditions take place the first three days of classes: Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13. Sign up now and claim your slot — before someone else does! (Auditions for each day close the night beforehand.)

At your choral audition

At the audition, you’ll be asked to sing various snippets of music, try some vocal and musicianship exercises, and talk with our Director, Dr. Bram Wayman, about where you’d like to take your music during your time at Knox. You do not need to prepare anything for the audition ahead of time, nor bring any music! Your audition will be in the C.F.A. (Center for the Fine Arts), room 150.
