If you love to sing, you might consider joining the Galesburg Community Chorus. Not only is it a great way to improve your voice, but you can also integrate yourself with members of the Galesburg community as well as other Knox students.

An amateur singing group committed to sharing choral music with the community, the Galesburg Community Chorus performs twice a year and hosts guest choirs and a biannual choral festival.

Recent performances

  • Mozart's Requiem
  • Handel's Messiah
  • Vaughn Williams's Dona Nobis Pacem (performed in Carnegie Hall with the Knox College Choir)
  • Brahms's Requiem

The primary focus of the chorus is to enjoy music while bridging the gap between the singers at Knox and the singers of Galesburg. The Galesburg Community Chorus welcomes everyone, and the only requirement is the ability to sing and sight read music.
