Green Oaks Prairie

Nowhere does our current landscape most resemble what Knox's founders discovered upon reaching the Western frontier than at Green Oaks Biological Field Station. Home to restored prairies, woodland forests, peaceful ponds, and native plants and animals, Green Oaks is a deeply valued College resource and recreational area.

Chip Williams '85 is a professional photographer and assistant professor of photography at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
