Homecoming FAQ

Welcome back to campus! We're so glad you are able to return, reunite with old friends, and revisit your old stomping grounds.

To help you, we've compiled some of the questions most frequently asked by returning alumni. However, if you don't see the answer to your question, don't hesitate to ask a member of the Knox staff.

Enjoy your visit and we hope to see you again at future Homecomings!

What are the dates for Homecoming 2013?

October 18-20, 2013. A full schedule of events will mail in July, 2013.

Rooms do book quickly, so make your reservations soon if you know or think you'll be attending Homecoming next year. We block rooms at the same hotels each year; that list is located on the Knox website at www.knox.edu/accommodations.

Is there RV parking on campus?

RV parking is allowed in the gravel lot east of the T. Fleming Fieldhouse or the grassy lot south of the Fieldhouse. If you have questions or concerns, please contact campus safety at 309-341-7979.

Is there a Lost & Found area?

Yes, in the Registration area, Ferris Lounge. Please drop off any items you find and look here if you've misplaced something.

What about photos I take during Homecoming?

We want to see them! We'll create an online photo album after Homecoming and would love to include yours. You can mail a CD to Alumni Relations, Box K-150, 2 East South Street, Galesburg, IL 61401, or e-mail them to alumni@knox.edu. Check back and view all the Homecoming photos at www.knoxalumni.org.

Directions to Green Oaks?

Go East on Route 34 through Wataga. Turn right on 164 to Victoria (about 10 miles). In Victoria, watch for the park with the World War II tank and turn right at the end of the park. (There should be a sign that says "Snakeden Hollow.") Go 4½ miles. The paved road will end and turn into a gravel road. Green Oaks is a ¼ mile on the left.

Maps are available in the registration area. Read more about Green Oaks or the Green Oaks Term.
