Welcome back to campus! We're so glad you are able to return, reunite with old friends, and revisit your alma mater!
Below is some information we hope helps enrich your visit to campus. However, if you don't see the answer to your question, don't hesitate to ask a member of the Knox staff.
Enjoy your visit and we hope to see you again at future Homecomings!
When is Homecoming?
For this year, it's October 18-20. In 2014, Homecoming happens the weekend of October 10-12. The full schedule of events mails to all alumni in July of each year.
Rooms do book quickly, so make your reservations early if you know or think you'll be attending Homecoming. Blocks of rooms are in place at several Galesburg hotels; you can find that information on our accommodations page.
Is there RV parking on campus?
RV parking is allowed in the gravel lot east of the T. Fleming Fieldhouse or the grassy lot south of the Fieldhouse. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Campus Safety at 309-341-7979.
Is there a lost and found area?
Yes, in the registration area in Ferris Lounge. Please drop off any items you find with any staff member, and look here if you've misplaced something. After Homecoming you can contact the Alumni Office if any unclaimed items might be yours (309-341-7238 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
How do I get to Green Oaks?
Go east on Route 34 through Wataga. Turn right on 164 to Victoria (about 10 miles). In Victoria, watch for the park with the World War II tank, and turn right at the end of the park. (There should be a sign that says "Snakeden Hollow.") Go 4 1/2 miles. The paved road will end and turn into a gravel road. Green Oaks is a 1/4 mile on the left. Directions are also available online.
Maps will be available in the registration area. Read more about Green Oaks or the Green Oaks Term.
Is computer use/wireless access available?
Founders Lab in Seymour Union is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may use a web-only "Fast Lane" Windows computer or one of the Mac computers. Several computers are also available for Internet and e-mail access in Seymour Library until 9:00 p.m. Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday. Please sign in at the circulation desk.
Connecting to the Homecoming Wireless Network
Once you arrive on campus you will have the ability to connect to a wireless network set up specifically for Homecoming. Check back for login details closer to Homecoming.
For security reasons, attendees are provided with Internet access only. No access is provided or possible to printers, administrative systems and functions, and College servers. Please contact the Help Desk at 309-341-7700 if you need further assistance.
Public wireless access is also available at the public library, local coffee shops, and other downtown locations.
