More than 60 members of the Class of 1962 returned for Homecoming 2012

50th Reunion Class Gift: Class of 1962 Lincoln Douglas Seminar Room in Alumni Hall
Monetary Goal	Raised to Date
$200,000*	$166,375

Total goal is $300,000. A generous classmate is offering our class up to $100,000 in matching funds for gifts given toward the class project, leaving a total of $200,000 for the class to raise. Each gift of $1,000 or more given toward the project will be matched at 50% for classmates who have given to Knox sometime in the past five years or at 62% for those classmates who have gone more than five years without a gift to Knox. to celebrate their 50th Reunion with classmates and friends. Besides the 50th Reunion dinner, numerous and diverse activities were available for all alumni. One highlight of the weekend was Homecoming Convocation when the Class of 1962 fairly danced in as a group to the Knox Choir singing "Twist and Shout." In addition, the Reunion co-chairs presented a check to President Amott for $2,733,681 for the overall class gift, thanks to the Vernon Stisser estate gift for Knox's Prairie Fire Football program and other purposes.

The 50th Reunion Class project, the Class of 1962 Lincoln-Douglas Room in Alumni Hall, still needs $41,625 to meet the goal of $200,000, but there's still time to donate or to add to your previous contribution. Read more about The Class of 1962 Lincoln-Douglas Room.
