Teresa L. Amott was offically installed at Knox College's 19th president on Saturday, May 5. Representatives from 54 institutions, including 8 college presidents, as well as Knox faculty, staff, alumni, and Galesburg community members attended the ceremony. Amott is the first woman to hold the presidency of the 175-year-old College.
Two retired Knox College presidents, John McCall and Roger Taylor, visited the Knox campus for the installation of Teresa Amott as the 19th president of Knox College.
Knox College will showcase the wide range of student research and creative work in a series of events, "Horizons: A Celebration of Student Inquiry, Imagination, and Creativity," May 4-11.
Brigadier General Mark Martins, Chief Prosecutor of the war crimes trial system reformed by the Military Commissions Act of 2009, will deliver Knox College's 2012 Commencement Address.

Eric Ballard '11 and Zak Kahn '11 completed Green Oaks Term as students in 2010. Now, as Green Oaks Term program assistants, they will offer a first-hand look at the immersive learning experience through a new blog.
This year's warm weather disrupted a 50-year tradition of spring prairie burns at Knox College's Green Oaks prairie restoration, according to biology professor Stuart Allison, who is considering holding future burns earlier.
James Beard Award-winning author Paul Greenberg delivers the EquiKnox sustainability lecture centered on his best-welling book, Four Fish, and meets with Knox students to discuss his environmental research and writing. Related events include a sustainability fair and seafood dinner. 
Psychology major, now completing a Knox postbaccalaureate fellowship, will travel to India to teach English and volunteer for an organization promoting women's empowerment and literacy.
