How To Apply

A profound respect and appreciation for cultural diversity is one of the cornerstones of a liberal arts education, particularly as the liberal arts are practiced and taught at Knox. More than 11% of our students represent more than 51 countries from around the world. The global perspective those students bring to the classroom is one of the defining aspects of a Knox education. If you want a top-notch education in a diverse, intellectually stimulating environment, we invite you to bring your views and your perspective, as well as your dreams and aspirations to Knox.

Please note that US Citizens who are educated abroad should apply as First-Year Applicants, and not as International Applicants.

Knox uses the Common Application, which is used by more than 500 colleges and universities across the country.

A Note about Test Scores

The submission of SAT I or ACT scores is optional for most applicants. Knox adopted this policy so that you can decide for yourself if your scores adequately reflect your abilities and potential for success in college. There is no score above which you should decide to submit your scores. If you elect to provide your scores, they will be considered and can sometimes help us in assessing your abilities more fully. Scores can be submitted either directly from the testing agency or on your official secondary school transcript.

Note: Candidates applying from secondary schools that do not provide grades are asked to submit results from one or more standardized test, such as SAT I, SAT II, ACT, AP or IB examination results, or grades from college courses.
