Hang out for a day. Visiting Knox is the best way to get to know us. And there's a lot of ways to explore while you're here. Most all visits will include a student-guided tour of campus and an opportunity to meet with your admission counselor, but you can also check out classes, meet with professors and coaches, and of course eat lunch in the Hard Knox Cafe. It's up to you how you spend your time with us.
One of the easiest ways to get all of this done is to attend one of our open houses, a day long program for prospective students and their families.
Or if you want something more personal, you can schedule an individual campus visit. Just give us 10 days notice and we'll do our best to make all the arrangements. Be sure to check out our "best dates to visit" calendar to see when class visits, interviews and tours are available.
Complete the online registration form or call the admission office at 800-678-KNOX or 309-341-7100 to arrange your visit.
What to Do?
When classes are in session:
During breaks and summer:
Student-guided campus tours are available throughout the year. You'll get to see residence halls, science labs, classroom and athletic facilities. Tours depart from the admission office and last roughly an hour.
||9:20 a.m., 10:40 a.m., 1:20 p.m., 2:40 p.m.|
|Saturday||mornings, by appointment|
||9:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:15 p.m.|
Admission interviews are a great opportunity for us to get to know you better-put a face and personality with that application. It's also a good chance to get your questions answered. Our interviews tend to be pretty informal-more of a conversation than an interrogation.
Interviews are offered for seniors and students finishing their junior year. But even if you're more than a year from starting college, an admission counselor will be happy to meet with you to talk about Knox and your college search.
