Zachary Hager captured the Varanasi (left) and a Buddhist temple (below) while studying in India. Zachary explains: "The Varanasi is the holiest place for Hindus. If one is cremated here one will consequently break the cycle of reincarnation. The funeral pyres burn everyday, all day. This picture gives a glimpse of how much wood resides near these funeral pyres."

Heather Kopec participated in Knox's study-abroad program in Buenos Aires. While there she took these photos of a 4x4 adventure and a hopeful Bolivian girl. Kopec comments on the girl's photo, (below, left) "This photo is of an indigenous Bolivian girl that I met. We talked about how hard it was to live in a desert, poor and with little water. Her community just recently received aid from international organizations to improve their sanitary conditions to which they are extremely grateful. When my group moved on I left the girl and her family with some candy; a new discovery for her."
