Knox College for Kids (College 4 Kids) is a summer enrichment program for gifted and high-achieving students from Galesburg and the surrounding communities. Students who are entering 3rd through 8th grade are eligible.

Knox College 4 KidsKnox College for Kids courses are designed to engage high-achieving students, while also serving as the first exposure to higher education for many children of underrepresented groups and low socioeconomic backgrounds, who may someday be the first in their families to attend college.

College for Kids classes are taught by Knox faculty and master teachers from area schools. Knox students in the REACH Fellows Program serve as teaching assistants. Knox created the REACH Program (Recruiting and Enlightening through Access to and Communication with High-need schools) to encourage more first-generation college students of color, especially men, to become elementary school teachers and role models in the community.

Scholarships for the program were made possible by a generous donation from Wells Fargo.
