Lynette Lombard

             In Memoriam: Lynette Lombard

General Interests
"I paint the landscapes of southern Spain and western Illinois. What compels me is how light, form, colour, and composition are informed by the feeling of walking a terrain, working in all kinds of weather and fusing several moments of time into one painting. These elemental experiences evoke and structure a sense of place. Also, feminist theory and modernism, contemporary painting, printmaking and drawing are current research interests."

Years at Knox: 1990 to present

Education
M.F.A., Painting, 1989, Yale University School of Art.
B.A., 1976, Goldsmith's College, School of Art, University of London.

Teaching Interests
Painting, interpreting landscape, drawing, and Knox in NY.
