Early Admission to Medical School
Our cooperative program with The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences means guaranteed admission for selected sophomores.
Application Requirements
The Knox-George Washington University program requirements include:
- Sophomore standing and completion of two years (six terms) at Knox
- Minimum of 18 credits by the end of the third term of your sophomore year
- Minimum 3.5 overall GPA and no science grade lower than a B- by the end of your sixth term
- Minimum of six terms of pre-medical science courses by the end of your sixth term. Such courses include:
- Biology 110, 120, and 130
- Chemistry 101, 102, 211, and 212
- Physics 110, 120 and 130
- High academic achievement in both science and non-science curriculum
- SAT score of at least 1800 and/or ACT of at least 27
Successful applicants also take a challenging selection of classes, have an interest in current healthcare issues and knowledge about the medical profession, and plan to make the best use of the broad range of opportunities available at Knox.

Acceptance Requirements
Acceptance is guaranteed pending that you:
- Complete the pre-med curriculum, including:
- BCHM 301 Biochemistry I: Structure and Function
- One psychology course
- One anthropology/sociology course dealing primarily with contemporary societies
- Maintain a GPA of 3.5 with a grade of B- or better in all science coursework
- Complete your Knox degree (MCAT score not required)
