Knox College for Kids

Summer academic enrichment for students entering grades 1 through 9

Knox College for Kids is an enrichment program for gifted, high achieving, and talented students from Galesburg and the surrounding communities who will be entering grades 1 through 9. See the Courses page for full details and an application.

Knox College for Kids is administered by the Knox College Educational Studies Department. Classes are taught by Knox College faculty or master teachers from local schools, with Knox College students serving as teaching assistants through the REACH Fellows Program. All classes have a well-defined focus, quality teaching, and will motivate students to strive for peak performance.

  • Curriculum: More than 40 courses, in the areas of Fine Arts, Humanities/Social Science, Languages, or Science/Mathematics. See the Courses page for descriptions and faculty information.
  • Schedule: Three one-hour-long classes, held weekdays mornings from June 15 through June 26, 2009. See the Schedule page for more information.
  • Tuition: $115 for the regular program and junior program.
  • Scholarships: Limited scholarship funds are available based upon financial need; see the application form for additional information.
  • Applications: Applications are available in DOC and PDF. The Application portion (pages 11-14) must be printed, signed and returned via US Mail.
