Mathematics Club

Within the Knox Mathematics Club, you can find math majors and non-majors alike. Whether you need help with math, or enjoy the subject and want to meet others who do as well, Math Club provides a place for scholars of math to spend time together.

Goals

• Spread awareness of the importance of math throughout the student body
• Provide a friendly atmosphere for people to discuss math
• Provide a more informal setting for help with math
• Offer a place to socialize while taking a break from the subject
• Make a space for people to continue work on math problems and theories

As a member of the club, you can also join in weekly Math Club lunches with professors of the Mathematics Department.

Math Club also participates in the Mathematics Association of America (MAA) and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The Math Club has also brought speakers to campus in the past.

By joining Math Club, you can learn and explore how to think about and apply math during your time at Knox and beyond.
