Joining the International Club is an exceptional way to get to know students from all over the world. With students from 48 different countries, there is an endless amount of cultures to learn about at Knox. As one of the largest organizations on campus, International Club promotes international awareness with a view to multiculturalism. It is open to everyone and is designed to appeal to all students.
International Fair
International Fair (also known as I-Fair), one of Knox's largest events, is held each year during winter term. Cultures from all over the world are represented and celebrated. Features of I-Fair include:
As a gesture toward Knox's continuing efforts to become more sustainable, the theme of I-Fair 2009 was I-Green: Sustainability in the Global World. Students distributed copies of I-Mag, magazines with information about the fair, that were printed on 100% recycled paper from sustainable resources. Adapting to life at Knox
International Club also helps international students on campus adapt to the new environment and provides them with opportunities and events to get to know their American colleagues. Included in these events are:
I-Club also hosts the International Formal (I-Formal) dance each spring, giving international and domestic students another opportunity to celebrate together. The International House (I-House) is also a housing option on campus for both international students and domestic students to mingle and learn more about each other's cultures.
Some of the International Club's many other activities include foreign movie showings, cultural dinners, presentations about other countries, and guest speakers.
