Knox College Chamber Singers

Chamber Singers

While the Knox College Choir is already one of the best amongst college choirs in the nation, selected members from the choir also participate in an even more intensive group known as the Chamber Singers. The Chamber Singers is an ensemble of 18 mixed voices, and it rehearses two hours a week in addition to the required four hours for the Knox College Choir.

In the past, the Chamber Singers have:

  • performed works by Bach
  • performed a scene from Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruddigore
  • collaborated with the Knox-Galesburg Symphony
  • hosted a student-written madrigal dinner
The Chamber Singers are known for incorporating humor into their songs and acts. They perform not only at choir concerts but also at off-campus events and special college functions.
