Housing Lottery

Spring 2013

The Campus Life Office organizes the annual Housing Lottery, which apportions students to residence halls, houses, apartments and cultural centers.

We know from experience that Lottery can be a confusing and stressful time, but it doesn't have to be. So as you begin the process of choosing a space for the 2013-2014 academic year, there are three things that will make Lottery rewarding (and more bearable!) for you.

1. ASK QUESTIONS. Stop by the Campus Life Office (across from Founder's Computer Lab), call us at 309-341-7527, or e-mail us at lottery@knox.edu.

2. THINK ABOUT where you want to live and talk to others about it.

Residence Halls: Suite and room info on Knox's residence halls
Apartments: Rooms in Hamblin Hall and 240 W. Tompkins (Exec) and 284 W. Tompkins (Tompkins)
Houses: Two campus houses are available to students
Cultural Centers: International House, ABLE House, Asian Cultural, and Casa Latina

3. KEEP YOUR OPTIONS OPEN. Do not go into the Lottery process with just one place in mind to live next year. Make a priority list of three or four different areas. That way if you don't receive your first choice, you have other ideas in mind.
