Knox College senior defensive end Tighe Burke has been named the NCAA Division III statistical champion in pass sacks for the 2008 season. He had 14 sacks throughout the season, with an average of 1.35 sacks per game. Full Story
"Chinese students really wanted exposure and practice with native English speakers," according to Stephen Schroth, one of three Knox faculty members who led 15 Knox students on a teaching visit to China. On January 20, Barack Obama became the third U.S. president to hold an honorary degree from Knox College. President Obama borrowed key parts of the inauguration from Abraham Lincoln, just weeks before the nation celebrates the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth. This year's Martin Luther King Day Convocation is an "extra special celebration, on the eve of the inauguration of our first African-American president," said professor Konrad Hamilton, who will deliver the convocation address on Monday, January 19.
