Lincoln Recalled: American President, American Vision commemorates Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. This exhibit draws upon the manuscript and rare book collections in Seymour Library to illustrate the nature of that evidence and to bring you closer to the life and vision of the first president from Illinois.
Documents and rare books in the exhibit cases illustrate Lincoln's writing with , among others, early printings of the Gettysburg Address and the Cooper Union speech, showcase the Lincoln-Douglas debates, and show us what Lincoln read in his early life. Exemplars of early biographies of Lincoln are also on display.
