Experience
Ashley Sims became the head coach of the Prairie Fire softball team in June 2009. She will also be the assistant coach for the volleyball team. Sims was the assistant softball coach for the 2008-09 season and has been the assistant basketball coach for the past two seasons. She has also been the head freshman coach and assistant varsity coach for volleyball at United High School. During her two years there the varsity team amassed an overall record of 62-10, won two regional championships and one sectional championship.
Sims played basketball and softball at Lincoln College before going on to graduate from Monmouth in 2005. She earned her masters in sports management at Western Illinois University in 2007.

Katie Schneider, Assistant Coach

Experience
Katie Schneider, a 2008 graduate of Knox joined the Knox Athletic Department as co-sports information director in July of 2008. In June of 2009 she joined the Prairie Fire coaching staff as assistant softball coach.
Schneider was a four year letter winner for the Prairie Fire Softball team and lettered her senior year in Indoor track and field. She was a captain of the softball team her junior and senior years and was selected to the All-Midwest Conference second team her senior year. She represents the Midwest Conference and Wisconsin Intercolligiate Athletic Conference on the NCAA National Student Athlete Committee and Division III Athletes on the Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee.
