
The Prairie Fire women's soccer progam is one of the oldest in the nation. Women's soccer at Knox started as a club sport in the early 1980s and gained its varsity status in 1987. Since then, Knox has fielded All-American talent and made multiple appearances at the Midwest Conference championships.

Arielle Dorman from Bothell, Washington (Inglemoor High School), was named to the 2009-10 All-Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Second Team on Monday, November 16th. Dorman is the first women's soccer player from Knox to be honored on any All-Conference team in ten years.

Rozie Smith, a senior from Tucson, AZ (St. Gregory’s Prep), has been named Knox College Prairie Fire Performer of the Week after scoring three goals in two games, one of which came in a 2-1 conference victory over Illinois College.
