May 6 — Knox 5, IC 3 box score
The Knox baseball team ended their season with a 5-3 victory over Illinois College, improving their overall record to 13-19 and their Midwest Conference South Division record to 6-6. Steve Hoosen earned the complete game victory, allowing three runs (three earned) on nine hits with five strikeouts and two walks in nine innings of work. The top hitters for Knox were Matt Briggs (3-3, 2 runs, 2 2Bs, SB), John Campbell (2-3, run), and Paul Bennett (2-4, RBI, 2B).

May 6 — Knox 7, IC 4 box score
The Knox baseball team improved to 12-19 on the season and 5-6 in the Midwest Conference South Division after a 7-4 victory over Illinois College. The Blueboys led 4-3 before the Prairie Fire responded in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings with four runs of their own. Senior Nathan Harres earned the complete game victory allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out six in seven innings of work. The top hitters for Knox were John Campbell (2-2, 2 runs, 2Bs, RBI), Kevin Malone (2-3, run), and Matt Briggs (2-4, RBI, run, SB).

May 2 — Knox 3, Monmouth 1 box score
The Knox baseball team improved to 11-19 on the season and 4-6 in the Midwest Conference South Division after a 3-1 victory over Monmouth College. The Prairie Fire scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to secure the win on a two-out single by first-year Kevin Malone that scored Luke Sherman and Neil Magruder. Nate Harres (7 1/3 innings, 5 hits, 1 run, 0 earned, and 5 strikeouts) started the game and pitched very well but Steve Hoosen (1.2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs) came on in relief to earn the victory. Malone led all Knox hitters going 2-3 with 2 RBIs, a walk, and a stolen base while Jake Ayers contributed going 1-3 with an RBI.

May 2 — Knox 2, Monmouth 10 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 10-19 on the season and 3-6 in the Midwest Conference following a 10-2 loss to Monmouth College. The Fighting Scots jumped out to an early 5-1 lead as they out hit the Prairie Fire 16-6. The top hitters for Knox were John Campbell (2-2, RBI, run), Jake Ayers (1-2, run , 2B), and Paul Bennett (1-2, RBI).

April 22 — Knox 3, Monmouth 11 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 10-18 on the season and 3-5 in the Midwest Conference South Division after an 11-3 loss to Monmouth College. The Fighting Scots scored in each of the first six innings to gather a 9-1 lead. Matt Briggs (2-4, 2 RBIs, run, 2B, 3B) and Luke Sherman (2-3, 2B) both led the Prairie Fire with two hits apiece.

April 22 — Knox 5, Monmouth 4 box score
The Prairie Fire baseball team improved to 10-17 on the season and 3-4 in the Midwest Conference South Division after a 5-4 victory over Monmouth College. A two-out bases loaded infield single by senior Luke Sherman in the bottom of the sixth inning scored two runs and gave Knox the victory. The top hitters for the Prairie Fire were Matt Briggs (3-4, 3 runs, SB), Sherman (2-4, 2 runs), and Jim Stys (1-2, 2 RBIs).

April 15 — Knox 5, Grinnell 7 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 9-17 on the season and 2-4 in the Midwest Conference South Division after a 7-5 loss to Grinnell College. The Prairie Fire committed eight errors leading to three unearned runs. The top hitters for Knox were Matt Briggs (4-5, two runs, SB), Luke Sherman (2-3, RBI, run), and Neil Magruder (2-4, run, RBI).

April 15 — Knox 4, Grinnell 7 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 9-16 on the season and 2-3 in the Midwest Conference South Division after a 7-4 loss to Grinnell College. The Prairie Fire outhit the Pioneers 13-9 despite getting outscored. The top hitters for Knox were Neil Magruder (3-4, RBI, run), Kevin Malone (2-3), John Campbell (2-3), and Matt Briggs (2-4, run, 2B).

April 12 — Knox 10, Illinois College 6 box score
The Knox baseball team improved to 9-15 on the season after a 10-6 victory over Illinois College. The Prairie Fire trailed 5-2 after four innings of play before a late inning rally secured a Knox win. Nick Reineck came on in relief to earn the victory pitching 3.2 innings allowing no runs on one hit while striking out four and walking one. The top hitters for Knox were Neil Magruder (3-5, RBI, run, SB, 2B), Steve Hoosen (3-5), and Kevin Malone (2-4, 2 RBIs, 2 runs, SB, 2B).

April 12 — Knox 2, Illinois College 14 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 8-15 on the season after a 14-2 loss to Illinois College. The Blueboys scored often and early as they jumped out to a 14-1 lead after four innings of play. The top hitter for the Prairie Fire was Paul Bennett who went three for three with an RBI and a run scored while John Campbell (1-2) and Matt Briggs (1-3, run) provided support.

April 8 — Knox 4, Grinnell 2 box score
The Knox baseball team improved to 8-14 on the season following a 4-2 victory over Grinnell College. Senior Nathan Harres pitched seven innings, allowing one run (one earned) on four hits with seven strikeouts to only one walk. The top hitter for the Prairie Fire was Paul Bennett (2-4, two runs, RBI, BB, HR) while Matt Briggs (2-3, run, 2B) and John Campbell (3-4, run, 2B) provided some support. Steve Hoosen came on in the seventh and pitched the last two innings to earn the save.

April 8 — Knox 1, Grinnell 3 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 7-14 on the season after a 3-1 loss to Grinnell College. Tim Pauley earned the loss for Knox, pitching six innings and allowing three runs (three earned) on nine hits while striking out five and walking one. The top hitters for the Prairie Fire were Kevin Malone and Neil Magruder who both went 2-4 on the day.

April 2 — Knox 6,Washington University 18 box score
Seven Prairie Fire players had a hit in the game, but Washington University had too much offense as they sprayed 17 hits and scored 18 runs. Sam Almohandis was tabbed with the loss, pitching 2 1/3 innings.

April 2 — Knox 4, Washington University 2 box score
The Knox Prairie Fire improved to 7-12 on the season after a 4-2 win over Washington University Sunday. Matt Briggs, Kevin Malone, Neil Magruder and Luke Sherman all had two hits and an RBI in the win. Steve Hoosen had five K's in seven innings to pick up the win.

April 1 — Knox 0, Washington University 12 box score
The Prairie Fire dropped to 6-12 on the year after a 12-0 loss to Washington University. Paul Bennett went 2-3 again for the Prairie Fire, while Nate Harres picked up the loss.

Paul Bennett and Steve Hoosen both went 2-3 with an RBI in a loss to Washington University. Knox was down 6-0 before they scored a run in the third inning. Tim Pauley got the loss for the Prairie Fire.

March 29 — Knox 5, Millikin 11 box score
Knox College dropped the second game of the double header to fall to 6-10 on the season. Neil Magruder went 2-4 at the plate with one RBI to lead the Prairie Fire. Knox got on the board first with a run in the fourth inning, but the Big Blue responded with eight runs in the fifth inning. The Prairie Fire scored four runs in the sixth inning, but couldn't score any in the seventh. Steve Hoosen picked up the loss, and falls to 1-2 on the year.

March 29 — Knox 4, Millikin 6 box score
The Prairie Fire fell to 6-9 on the season after a 6-4 loss to the Big Blue from Millikin University. Knox was led by Adam Estergard and Luke Sherman, who both went 2-3 at the plate, spearheaded by their back-to-back home runs in the second inning. Both of Sherman's hits came by the way of the longball, as he hit another home run in the seventh inning. Knox took an early 3-0 lead in the second inning, but saw the Big Blue claw back and score six unanswered runs to beat the Prairie Fire. Nick Reineck was tabbed with the loss.

March 25 — Knox 2, Cornell 1 box score
The Knox baseball team improved to 6-8 on the season after a 2-1 victory over Cornell College. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Matt Briggs led off with a triple and Jake Ayers followed one out later on a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Briggs and secured the victory. Tim Pauley improved to 3-0 on the season, pitching all seven innings allowing one run (none earned) on three hits while striking out four and walking one. The Prairie Fire were led offensively by Matt Briggs (2-2, run, RBI, BB, 3B), Jake Ayers (2-2, RBI), and Luke Hunter (1-3, run).

March 25 — Knox 0, Cornell 4 box score
The Knox baseball team fell to 5-8 on the season after a 4-0 loss to Cornell College. The Rams opened the game by scoring three runs in the first two innings and the Prairie Fire offense could only muster up two total hits. Harres pitched all seven innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on one hit, three walks, and three strikeouts. Paul Bennett and Luke Sherman both batted 1-3 for Knox.

March 19 — Knox 1, Lawrence 7 box score
Knox College fell to 5-7 after losing to Lawrence 7-1. Highlights came from Luke Hunter who went 1-3 with an RBI. Knox took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, only to allow the Vikings to cross the plate five times in the bottom of the third inning. Steve Hoosen took the loss for the Prairie Fire.

March 19 — Knox 10, Lawrence 7 box score
The Knox Prairie Fire have won two in a row after defeating Lawrence University in Fort Myers, Florida. The Prairie Fire led 9-1 after four innings, and cruised to the win. At the plate, the Prairie Fire were led by Matt Briggs who went 2-4, with a double and two RBI's. On the mound, Tim Pauley threw four innings and had five K's to pick up the win.

March 18 — Knox 2, Plymouth State 7 box score
The Prairie Fire dropped to 4-6 on the year after losing to Plymouth State 7-2. -Knox fell behind early after a 4-run third inning by Plymouth State. Knox came back and scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, but it wasn't enough. Jake Ayers and Luke Hunter both went 1-2 at the plate, while Nick Morris picked up the loss for the Prairie Fire.

March 18 — Knox 6, Plymouth State 2 box score
The Prairie Fire improved to 4-5 on the season after a 6-2 win over the Panthers of Plymouth State. Luke Sherman went 3-3 at the plate with a HR and 2 RBI's, while Paul Bennett went 2-4 with a HR and 2 RBI's. Nate Harres had 6 K's and improved to 2-0 on the season with the win.

March 17 — Knox 2, Suffolk 16 box score
The Prairie Fire fell to 3-5 on the season after a 16-2 loss to Suffolk University. Jim Stys went 2-2 in the game and John Campbell went 1-2 with two RBI's in the loss. The Prairie Fire gave up 10 runs in the bottom of the second inning and couldn't recover.

March 17 — Knox 4, Suffolk 10 box score
The Prairie Fire fell to 3-4 on the 2006 season with a 10-4 loss to Suffolk University. At the plate, Neil Magruder and Luke Sherman both went 2-3, with Magruder also picking up an RBI while Kevin Malone went 1-3 with two RBI's. The Prairie Fire fell behind early 5-0 and a three-run inning in the sixth wasn't enough to make up the difference.

March 15 — Knox 3, UMass-Boston 5 box score
The Prairie Fire fell to 3-3 on the season after losing again to the UMass-Boston Beacons 5-3. Kevin Malone led the Prairie Fire at the plate going 2-4 with an RBI, while Luke Sherman went 2-3 at the plate. The Prairie Fire got on the board first scoring one run in the top of the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 lead, only to watch their lead fade after the Beacons scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning.

March 15 — Knox 3, UMass-Boston 9 box score
The Knox College baseball team fell to 3-2 on the season after losing 9-3 to the Beacons of UMass-Boston. First-year Kevin Malone continued to play well for the Prairie Fire going 2-4 at the plate, while Paul Bennett and Ryan Switzer both hit 1-3, with Switzer also having an RBI. The Prairie Fire were leading 3-2 after three innings, but the Beacon's bats heated up in the final innings, where they scored seven total runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

March 14 — Knox 5, Carroll 3 box score
The Knox College baseball team improved to 3-1 on the season after a 5-3 victory over Carroll College. Junior Steve Hoosen (1-0) pitched a complete game allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits while striking out six and walking two. The top hitters for the Prairie Fire were Kevin Malone (3-4, 2 RBIs, 2 SBs) Matt Briggs (2-3, RBI, 2B), and Luke Sherman (1-2, 2 RBIs, run, 3B).

March 14 — Knox 5, Carroll 2 box score
The Knox College baseball team improved to 2-1 on the season after a 5-2 decision over Carroll College. Senior pitcher Tim Pauley (1-0) pitched a complete game allowing two runs (zero earned) on two hits while walking three and striking out two. The top hitters for the Prairie Fire were Matt Briggs (2-3, run, RBI), Kevin Malone (0-1, three BBs, run), and Jake Ayers (1-3, two RBIs).

March 13 — Knox 9, Wilmington 2 box score
The Knox College baseball team improved to 1-1 on the season with a 9-2 victory over Wilmington College. Junior Nick Morris earned the win pitching six innings allowing just one hit and zero runs. The top hitters for the Prairie Fire were Paul Bennett (2-4, 5 RBIs, 2 runs, and a homerun), Kevin Malone (1-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs, BB, and SB) and Neil Magruder (2-3, 2 runs, and a BB).

March 13 — Knox 3, Wilmington 11 box score
The Knox College baseball team opened up the 2006 season with an 11-3 loss to Wilmington College. Senior Nate Harres earned the loss for the Prairie Fire pitching five innings and allowing nine runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out three.
