Alumni in Theatre

Knox College's Theatre program prepares its students who are seeking professional careers in theatre for continuing their studies in graduate school or conservatories. Our graduates have studied at prestigious institutions such as Yale, Stanford, Northwestern University, Chicago's Goodman Theatre, University of San Diego/Old Globe Theatre, New York University, The Actors Theatre of Louisville, and many nationally-known universities.

Knox alumni work in all areas of design, acting and directing, and theatre management. Knox theatre majors are also highly successful in many other areas, such as law, education, and business. A few of our many successful theatre majors include:

Tony Award winner for set design of the Broadway production of "Not About Nightingales;" Artistic designer for "Twin Peaks," and winner of a Knox College Alumni Achievement Award. Richard Hoover '69.

Academic News

Knox Among Top Colleges for Fulbright Scholar Awards in 2009-10

Knox College is one of the top liberal arts colleges in the nation for Fulbright Scholar grants awarded to faculty during 2009-2010. Karen Kampwirth is studying feminism and politics at the University of Buenos Aires, and Jeremy Day O'Connell is conducting musicology and linguistics research at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Music Concerts and Recitals

The Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band, Knox Wind Ensemble, and individual music students perform in concert and recital, November 13 through 17 at Knox College.

Knox College Jazz Ensemble November 7

The Knox Jazz Ensemble's Fall Concert will include works featuring arranger Yumi Kusunoki, vocalist Devan Cameron and clarinetist Michael Yu.
